The Peak grazing time in rabbits is usually in the afternoon (about 5 hours). A rabbit grazing will remain for hours if the environment is relatively safe. After the period of grazing the wild rabbit will return to its burrow where cecotropes eat and rest.

The study of the diet of wild rabbits is vital to gain an understanding of how a domestic rabbit to eat. The guidelines for the diet of a domestic rabbit were established in part by the observation and the study of how eating wild rabbits. It is important to closely monitor the behavior of wild rabbits to better understand the behavior and physical attributes of our furry friends vacation homes.
