Wild bird feeder question?
Make 2 wild bird feeders, food same in both. The birds are flocking to food in the front yard, but is ignored in the backyard. Both are placed near the trees and are hanging from a pole. Any idea why? I have another feeding in the yard and the birds eat it, like squirrels.
The squirrels can scare the birds in the backyard. Something in the backyard is to attract the squirrels. Perhaps it is the shade of trees. Are the trees to food in your backyard? Squirrels like to jump fences and trees near your bird feeder. Since putting the same kind of food in two feeders, which is what I think is happening.
