
How would you like to make a volcano at home and watch it erupt? Funny, is not it? Just follow the steps below to easily create your own volcano and enjoy watching it erupt.
What is needed
- A sheet of wood plywood – wood size depends on the size of a volcano that you are planning. Make sure it is big enough to leave enough space for all the parties after placing the mountain.
- An empty 2 liters.
- Papier-mà ¢ chà ©, gypsum or salt dough.
- Dish washing liquid soap – 1 tbsp.
- Baking soda – 1 tbsp.
- White vinegar – ¼ cup
- Red coloring agent food – a few drops
Make a volcano
- Use of gypsum, salt dough or papier-mà ¢ chà © to form a mountain around the bottle, making sure the lid of the bottle is kept open.
- Volcano erupts from the open mouth of the bottle. So the flow plan around this by ridges and channels for the formation of the mouth along the surface of the mountain you have made to the base. These are the ways that the lava will continue.
- Allow to dry and paint with acrylic or spray paint. You can use your imagination by adding to the sense of artificial trees.
- After of dry completely with a clear sealer spray.
- Mix liquid dishwashing soap, baking soda and food coloring in a separate cup or container, and poured into the bottle.
- Save in an open area and pour white vinegar into the bottle.
The volcano erupts ejecting lava flowing along the ridges that you made.
Take care
- Make sure to leave the open bottle cap. If the bottle is in conditions of sealed after adding the vinegar, the pressure may cause the bottle to explode.
- Remember that the ingredients are not exactly beauty lotions. Drive carefully.
- Do not allow children to handle the ingredients without adult supervision.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
