Why do not birds as my new feeder?
I've had great success squirrel proof peanut feeder for a number of years. Just before the awful time I started to put another feeder squirrel proof about this time for the bird cake and sat back smugly – apart from a few pecks, a month later, remains intact. The peanut feeder is still popular and can change / thaw the birdbath daily. Unfortunately, due to the configuration of the garden strange that I can not see the garden of the house, so I do not know who visits the peanut feeder. We have lots of magpies "live" two gardens along – it could be the problem?
I have the same problem, I have put new feeders for seeds and fat Balls.and even with the recent severe weather in any bird used. They joined the old ones and the same color, but the birds have not tried to feed them, even when the old ones are empty. had 10 feeders and added two more due to bad weather of the 10 are emptied regularly, but so far the new not been touched. It takes time for birds to use for new additions to its feeding territory, as I and others will have to wait. The Magpies will not be the problem it is because something new has appeared on its territory of supply.
