There are many benefits to attract birds to your yard and garden, and when setting up a bird house or two pair of bird feeders that attract some very positive, feathered visitors. What are these advantages?
Well for one, there are some wonderful songs birds that can delight your ear to not to mention some very colorful birds to please the eye. I found that the birds become very vocal song around 6:00 in the morning. They sing for half hour and then everything becomes very quiet. I suppose in this time the birds are in search of food. Then at about 7:30 or so, back to sing some more. After that they are not the vowels. So if you normally get up at 6:00, birds can be your natural clock. If not, well, close the window and go back to sleep!
Another benefit is that the birds feed on pests that affect your garden and patio. Invite the birds in your yard by building a bird house eliminates the need for toxic pesticides and give it a more healthy lifestyle.
And speaking of health, bird watching is relaxing and can take your mind of worries daily. This leads to better health for you. Not to mention that is out for a few extra minutes a day to watch the birds increase their health.
See a bird build a nest in the house of the bird or animal in your bird feeder that you and your son just hang in the backyard offers a great learning experience and "together time" for both. It is also a great way to get your child interested in nature and the outdoors.
