Help me please paint with words.?

Thanx for looking. I recently received an assignment to write an observation essay for my English course. Mine is about a bird. Please tell me whether the introduction is catchy for a room with lights and large tinted windows I found a pair of binoculars, a string of banks and number of plates with the images. A smell of freshly opened bag of potato chips was filling the room as a child enjoyed their snack. Amazed and full of desire to tell others the girl said, "Look, look mom a bird, and was looking outside through the living room window watching birds. Outside, tall standing between the green mature trees in a small grassy area, almost twice the size of normal room within a beautiful bird of good weather, saw the birds collecting fresh seed meal of his favorites. Two waterfalls and three bird feeders are a tropical paradise for all creatures who enjoy sip of fresh water and food.

What were the pictures on the wall? If not relevant, why mention them? I like the line about the smell of potato chips. I think tall standing green trees is a little too mature, a bit redundant, and too obvious. Of course, trees are stand and expect them to be green. Perhaps: Outside, the trees were tall and lush in its maturity. Not the best line, but better I think. A "small" lawn area would be twice the size of a normal room is not it? This whole sentence is too long and not much sense. Maybe I should be separated into two sentences. After perhaps above sentence: his long limbs made a flag for birds to sit in and enjoy their favorite seeds. In general it is OK, but I do not really see everything. I see the baby when I read it, but not the outer beauty, not birds. It needs a little tweaking, and if you need something about how the birds look. Good Luck!
