After all, what is the best way to keep pesky squirrels off your bird feeders?
We pepper as a naturally occurring mixture with bird seed and I'm not kidding, almost all the squirrels lost all his hair. It was fun, it grew back, and stopped using it. I have a drawer where the weight the squirrel is supposed to prevent this in the seed, but I have not seen a squirrel on it yet (just put it up). I thought of using fish bait and stringing of the trunk of a tree to another, very hard and very far from the branches, where they can jump and several feeders hanging fishing lure tense. Any another suggestion? Oh, and greasing the poles does NOT work, LOL. They are smart little guys!
A squirrel dome like this one does the trick. (There are versions cheaper.) http://cgi.ebay.com/Droll-Yankees-15-Dome-Squirrel-Guard-in-Green_W0QQitemZ350306791295QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518fe96f7f
