Why are birds that frequent my feeder again?

About 2 weeks ago, I replaced my rotting wood bird feeder painted, which he visited frequently. The new feeder is also wood, but is of a different color. I placed the same seed in it, but the birds only has to go through it. To draw in, I placed a "bird trying to bell" in the feed, but that is not even attract them. The feeder is on the same location as the previous one, so I do not understand why you ignore the behavior of birds. I began to wonder if the paint can be (although the last feeder was painted), so I put a feeder hanging near. The birds also denied it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! All of the above are good suggestions. Another aspect is that its summer now, and birds have lotsa natural foods available. Therefore, they eat birds less frequent. Do not give up, your new feed will get "found" and used when needed.
