How to attract birds to a bird house?
I had an aviary outside for a while now and I see no results. I have a bird bath, bird-feeder, and a bird's nest material supplier. Any idea of the location, and other major attractions?
Not all species of birds use birdhouses – some only nest in a tree or on the floor. Those species that make use of bird houses each have their own preferences about the location, household size and the size of the inlet hole. Sometimes you can luck out by posting any old aviary, as some species are not as demanding, but success is more likely to have an aviary birds use if you first identify what types of birds you have in your neighborhood and then put a house that can accommodate the preferences of one or more of these species.
